Paradigm Initiative Nigeria focuses on equipping the Nigerian Youths to take advantage of advancements in technology.
This goal is to develop and introduce incentives, initiatives, seminars and workshops specifically designed to encourage Nigerian Youths to use available ICT tools as efficiently as possible in solving the problems within their community.
Strategic Purpose
I. Peer to Peer Sharing of ICT skills: Encouraging the sharing and re-use of information, and create incentives for the same.
II. Impartation of knowledge on trends in the world of IT with Students and how it could fit into their chosen careers.
III. Improve the rate at with the Nigerian Youths embrace ICT in their daily activities
IV. Encourage, and hence where appropriate support, the execution of ICT4D projects among Nigerian Youths.
Target
I. Increase Efficiency in the use of ICT tools among Nigerian Youths.
II. Use of ICT tools to solve and bring about relevant development within communities.
III. Provide regular platforms - workshops, seminars, conferences - in all Nigerian schools for ‘What’s in the Box’.
IV. Support the acquisition of computers and other equipment necessary to assist in the teaching and learning of the IT skills among Nigerian Youth.
V. Develop innovative means and or procedures - e.g. nationwide competitions - which result in better use of IT tools.
Programme
I. Expansion and development of skills for PIN's volunteer team with respect to effective utilisation of IT skills from onwards.
II. Develop and publish a report on various projects being executed by the Nigerian Youths on the website.
III. Organisation of workshops, seminars and conference in Nigerian schools by for the effective take - off of the WITB project.
IV. Publish reports of relevant innovative projects being executed by Youths of other countries and encourage the Nigeria Youths to work towards replication of these within their communities.
V. Provide the stimulus for the Nigerian Youths to harness the IT tools in solving the problems within their communities.
VI. Conduct and publish the results of national ICT4D competition among the Nigerian Youths.
VII. Partnering with other organisations to effectively implement this project (ongoing).
